Dents was founded in Worcester in 1777 by John Dent. The company grew throughout the 19th century, employing over 130 workers and becoming renowned for the skilled hand cutting and stitching techniques used by its workforce. Today, the company continues to be known for its craftsmanship and maintains its reputation for excellence and elegance in its designs. Dents continues to use traditional leatherworking techniques and is one of the only glove manufacturers in the world that still uses peccary leather, a rare and hard-wearing form of leather that derives from the skin of South American wild hogs.
